Making by breaking: we tear things apart to understand them and with every cut, with every decision, we lose a bit of what once was there. Jagged edges get replaced by sturdy seams, hiding the breaks, and giving structure and a new interplay of colour and life. Hard and rigid against soft and fluid, muted against bright, tension, balance, harmony, contrast… and then finally, we piece things back together in a new way that resonates. Out of these new relationships something else takes shape. Out of rupture comes repair.
