TOILETS
All public toilets are open – at Montgomery and Buxton carparks, as well as Selwyn Place and the Cathedral Gardens.
CARPARKING
All the major carparks are open. Including Hathaway Terrace, near Trafalgar Park and Paru Paru Road carpark near the Trafalgar Centre, Selwyn Place accessibility car parking has been moved to Trafalgar Square opposite Jens Hansen Jeweller.
GETTING THERE
We encourage people to carpool to help with parking in town and reduce traffic on the roads. A good tip is to park slightly out of town and walk to the Top of Trafalgar Street or start your festival visit at NMIT if you are on the East side of town.
BUSES
Nelson City Council has put on a special eBus service to get you home after the event. Whatever night you choose to view the lights there'll be an eBus waiting for you. Avoid the car parking queues and take the bus. Additional services will depart the Nelson Bus Hub at 8:00pm, 8:30pm, 9:00pm, and 9:30pm. Please make sure you have a $2 coin (for all passengers) because the Bee Card system won't be operating.
